These progressive candidates made good trouble, to paraphrase John Lewis, but they didn't make it. But they are highly appreciated — they helped build the progressive movement. There's always another possible attempt in 2 years, maybe with a bit more name recognition as a starting point.

Candidates, we thank you for your courage and commitment. Running a campaign is hard work; it's disruptive on your lives and families and jobs; it's often exhausting especially when organizations with big dollars spend millions of dollars dragging your name through the mud.
